Child of the Isles

silken shimmer...papastour...colin hunterBathed and birthed

in a womb of water

in solitude

distance and distinction

a child of the different

of strength

out of deprivation

out of the water

wondering and

an unsteady youth

struggling to swim

where there is no water

with others who know nothing

of the distance

the difference

the distinction

a woman emerging from a

sea of solitude

takes her place in a world of many

bearing the wings of the water

the distance the distinct

forever a child of the isles
